Regardless of how much you may ship Elijah and Halle, Halle chose the person who openly loved her free of all judgment even as a hybrid. The love Jackson has shown to her throughout this entire series so far has been unconditional. Something she feels she hasn't had and honestly the writing has made it clear that there has always been chemistry between them as well. Elijah and Halle have feelings for each other for sure but it's a toxic situation during this time due to all the complicated stuff towards being with Elijah. Her background makes her decision makes sense. Great reaction btw.
