How to Do YouTube (While Working Your Main Job)

In summary:
Wake up earlier.
Sorry, guys. If you need more time you gotta' make more time. Is what it is.
Time yourself.
Once you figure out your creation flowchart, time how long it'll take for you to do each step. That way you can budget that amount of time into your day realistically. For example, I know making a full video is going to take me roughly around 6-8 ACTIVE hours.
Cheat code. Race against your time.
The next time you need to start and finish a task race to see how fast you can get it done without interruptions. You'll be surprised that it might take significantly less time to complete something when you're not checking your phone every 3 minutes.
Get a planner. Write shit down.
Seems cliche but I've been doing it for years and it's clutch. Especially if you're like me and have way too many thoughts and gibberish in your head. Put down everything you think throughout the day in a planner. Spend actual time sorting through your planner and prioritizing what needs to be done now vs later. This shit is a huge factor to truly getting things done.

Love this!! I also really respect the corporate hustle PLUS content creation in the early days like you mentioned. I went to a music industry arts program in college, and one of the biggest things I heard was people wanting to make all this music and content, but feeling like they wouldnβt have the time if they took that corporate desk job. In essence, theyβd use that mentality to take jobs with more flexibility (usually lower pay, contract pt work) to sustain the art and content they were trying to make when some of them unfortunately, werenβt necessarily working on their content with that free time they said they wanted so badly. Like Omni said, if you really want to do something, you WILL make the time for it and you will make it work for your schedule. Love seeing this stuff get talked about! π«Άπ½
