Volume 14 Chapter 35: 

"It's not done, do not let up!" Krystal roared as she continued to slash at them. She understood; a surprise attack wouldn't halt these tunnelers's movement! The students understood as they followed her actions. It seemed these tunnelers didn't care at all. 

Come on! Krystal continued to slice down. The top part of the shell was definitely the densest and hardest; it was their strongest shield! However, even the strongest shield would show scars when whittled down. Crack! 

Slowly, cracks formed on their shell. Krystal was waiting for this moment! 

"Move! Mages fire!" Hearing her retreat, the others jumped away as the mages fired! They were bombarded by a wave of magic. The tunnelers squirmed around as they were being incinerated! With the shattered armor, the fire was in full effect as they burned them down.

Before long, the tunnelers slowly stopped moving; they had won.  

“That’s good for all of you.” Krystal took a deep sigh when they saw all of the defeated monsters before him. As she glanced at them, 

Eh?

“We won!” The others couldn’t help but cheer when this had happened. 

Despite their cheer, Coen noticed, “Krystal, what’s the matter?” Krystal was calm and callous. 

“There are less.” The amount they had faced before was nowhere near the same amount as when it tried to chase us. Coen stared at it briefly and then nodded, “You’re right.” 

Now that he had a chance to stare at it for some time, she was right. The number dwindled from before. 

“What could have happened?” While they wondered, a signal flare flashed in the air. 

“Students, please come with us back to base camp.” Suddenly, an instructor dropped down out of nowhere.

"..." Krystal, Coen, and Jack were not caught off by this. It was to be expected since they had a feeling that no one had died in the process. There had to be someone watching over them in case of emergency. 

Everyone nodded as they were brought back to the camp. There were already a few students there. Some of them were being treated for their injury. 

"What happened to them?" There were a few who looked like they had gone through a tornado. Cuts and bruises were etched throughout their body. Was there anything else more dangerous than the tunneler? As Coen and Jack stared at all of them, Krystal was looking for someone. 

"Keith!" The woman walked over to Keith. What she saw was something covered in smoke and some cuts. This was something he had done. 

"Are you alright?"

"I'm good." Keith shook his head, "What about you guys? It looked like you guys had gone through something." The same could be said about the woman and the rest. 

"Haha, we've been through some things." Krystal chuckled. 

"Please hand over your items." An instructor called out. Krystal nodded as she brought out the tunnelers. She added, "Please split the tunnelers 20 ways." This was not a one-man job but a group effort. 

Once everyone was finished, Tennol muttered, “Everyone, I will send you your scores at a later time. For now, go home and rest up.” 

Keith stretched his hand into the air, “Finally! I can get my sleep now!” Sleeping out in the rain and then being chased around the thing would cause problems. Krystal laughed, “Indeed, when I get home, I want to go and rest in the bath.” A good bath would make it nice; without a week, of course they would smell. That was when they headed back home, “We’re back!”

“Dad!” Eri came rushing over to him, but then she instantly froze as she dashed behind the staircase.

“...I do smell quite bad.” Keith chuckled as he sniffed himself, “I’ll go take a bath first.” Jack and Krystal nodded as they headed into the bathroom. Once they were finished with it, Keith then headed over to the dining room. It was time for them to get their dinner. Eri didn’t hesitate to snuggle up to him now that he smelled nice. But as Keith was doing so, Scarlet had hugged him as well. 

It was a patting secession but that was when Keith paused as he asked, "Have you guys gained weight?” There was something he noticed. Scarlet froze as he muttered, “What do you mean?!”

“Are you saying we’re fat?”

“Yes,” Keith wasn’t going to deny it.

“I have you know we’ve been working out!” Carolyn and the others had something to say about this. But Keith could only shake his head as he had his meal. The group continued to enjoy their meal. Everything was so nice from all of this. Keith and the others were definitely going to have some talks about this. Not because of all of this.
