This song was based on a dream the bassist had apparently, where he gave a girl he loved some berries to eat but didnโt know they were poisonous? I think thatโs what it was, but yeah, thatโs why this is extra weird, but normally their songs have a bigger meaning, Serj is very vocal on political matters so it often references that, and tbh youโve been pretty spot on with most of your analogies so far. Sugar is about drugs, BYOB is about the media and conditioning, chop suey is about suicide and everyoneโs right to die and how there shouldnโt be shame in how, a life is lost either way.
