On a side note, it's probably just a coincidence but I did note that his ex's name is Julia, and his contact at the agency goes by 'J'. I seriously doubt she'd be waiting tables if she worked for the company, but it did give me pause.

Thank you for the chapters! I haven't been following the chat but I love how your using the bound weapons so far and can see some fun ways it can evolve. The two biggest fight styles that have been popping in mind are soul caliber Viola's orb and the chackrams from kingdoms of amular, this story is still just starting and I can't wait to see how it unfolds.

There's a spot where I think your spellchecker changed what should have been "motif" into "motive". Great end to the first book, but now I'll be super disappointed if your "just for fun" story gets replaced by something else... :(

Oh I can't wait to meet the new companion/subordinate. I wonder if he will have to level up all his additional companion/subordinates from level one or if they get a bit of a level boost as he grows in level. Great chapter!
