I’m gonna have to disagree with Greg. I think the fact that some people still blame and hate them for the events of book one make perfect sense. We really only see what Ast sees, and he’s spent most of his time away from where all that happened. It would make sense that he, and us, wouldn’t really know what the guild personnel are going through unless they openly tell Ast. Is it miraculously convenient for the story? Sure. But it works. And I like it.

To me, it's very proper and realistic and not really an excuse. Nobody ever speaks about the bad sides, as Ellie said. The hostility isn't something common and most likely is just individual cases, but we all should be aware how such things affect the people on the other side. This is pretty much customer support in other words. People are people and can have their limits.

Yeah, no matter what content an author publishes, it shouldn't be allowed to break the site's page layout, but I thought I would mention it in case Saileri has also done something new for the past couple of chapters, because that might help everyone figure out what/how Patreon is broken. Also, Saileri might wish to work around the problem until it is fixed... I know it would bother me, but I am kinda OCD like that.

I feel like the revelation that people hate them due to the issue in book 1 with the examiner doesn't really mesh with how the resulting fallout has been described up until now. It feels contrived. Personally, I think a different excuse would have worked better. Still an absolutely amazing chapter.

For some reason, the past two chapters have broken the formatting of Patreon's mobile site. As the page loads, everything is normal, but as soon as it hits 100%, the text forces the page to become twice as wide, while the first 4~5 letters of each line are trapped beyond the left boundary of the browser window, regardless of how far in or out you zoom (that is, it is impossible to scroll far enough to the left to see them). It seems like the text shrinks a couple of points, and about twice as many letters as usual are being fit on each line. This hasn't been happening with other authors.
