Duuuuudddeeee!!!!! Now I gotta know more! Pluses: Ast now knows for sure he didn’t cause the fire and deaths in that village. The downside, now he knows his father totally annihilated an entire village to hide him. I really wanna know what the girls are going to say/think. Also, I’m really interested in how Bryn is going to take all this. Since she’s so new to the party. And Kindra once Ast tells her?! Ah man there’s so much to look forward to!

Yeah, there's definitely some oddities here. The simplest answer is that he's their child... but as you pointed out, they're not really acting like caring parents. And it's interesting that, despite being a newborn, they talk about sealing his memories to prevent the Dragon Heart from 'RE-awakening'. There's also the reaction of the True Dragon he inadvertently summoned, who seemed to recognize him - or at least believed they did. There's a number of possibilities, from some sort of reincarnation of a True Dragon, to some sort of immortal Dragon being that reverts to infancy when he's critically injured, to... well, I could come up with a lot of scenarios, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Red being his father was never really In any doubt. But kaguya being his mother never seemed right to me. Your definitely right about the lack of emotion being strange for her not so much for him. Honestly it seems more as though they’re his servants or companions and they’re doing something that’s very important to him.

Great Chapter! Cant wait to see what they get out of the vault. Also nice to pretty much confirm Kaguya and Red as Ast's parents, even if it was never said. Though I do wonder why they didn't show any emotion towards him before leaving.
