Goddess Training game progress update 2

- Because there are two new Goddess Training games, so I will do the short game with the forest girl first, then I will start the long game with Sarah as the main character.
- I have finished writing the script for the short game, now I have started working on the game.
- I tried to make the game as similar to the originals as possible, just adding a little upgrade to make it better :
- I tested Goddess Training 1 and 2's battle system, it works well with Goddess Training Special Event's real-time system. Thus the game will have the battle system of Goddess Training 1,2 and at the same time have the system to make the enemy attack after a certain time without waiting for the player to finish the turn.
- I will use this battle system in the short game, if everyone feel it is suitable I will apply it for the second game, otherwise I will just use the original Goddess Training 1,2 battle system and didn't change anything. I will create a poll after the short game comes out to determine this.
- I'm also experimenting with using video animations for Goddess skills (Attack skills, ultimate skills, etc...) instead of using only images.

Thank you for your suggestion MacsquizzyGTS, switching to another engine is very complicated, you will have to learn new engines, especially learn how to code, I heard that to be able to code a game you need had to learn how to code in a year or more. So I will consider it very carefully if I want to do something new. Thank you.

2022-05-24 09:29:33 +0000 UTCIf for some reason in the future you want to test out another engine that's incredibly good for these sorts of games (so I hear) try out GoDot. I don't know if you can use RPGMaker assets in it, though from the asset licensing in the stores it seems imply you can since you bought them. Might be a bit of a learning curve if you try, but from what I understand its an incredibly powerful engine that can make anything and is totally free and open source.
