DISTURBING/HORROR MOVIE REVIEW SUGGESTION

So two of the top suggestions for a 'disturbing/horror movie review' and reviewing 'the guinea pig' series. I'm obviously not gonna take down six films lol BUT - if you wanna lob out a disturbing movie to review that I might usually skip (usually the more exploitative shit). Or if you wanna keep it spooky, lob me a horror film. Make sure to check out the most liked comments because I will choose from the top 3.

Thank you guys!

DISTURBING/HORROR MOVIE REVIEW SUGGESTION

Comments

“As the Gods Will” crazy movie very similar to “Squid Games”

Michael Haneke can go and die in a fire, that pretentious fuck...

I’ve been trying too get you too review the house that jack built . Directors cut for nearly 2 years . It’s a brilliant black comedy and has a perfect balance of sickly humour and violence .

Not a horror movie but very disturbing . Come and see . It is a anti war movie made by the Soviet Union . It is incredibly disturbing and makes you feel lucky too be alive .

Funny Games is the most genuinely sick a movie has ever made me feel . I won’t spoil it but it is not in any way like any other horror I have ever seen . Watch at your own discretion . There is a original version in Austrian from 1997 and the American remake from 2007 . Take your pic as they are basically identical too each other .

You can find that film online quite easily . I tried watching it and didn’t like it .

Megan is missing scared me shitless . It’s not only disturbing but it has a good morale too the story . It’s not long but it is very effective .

I’m amazed the august underground trilogy isn’t on this list . It’s not that hard too find but it’s super fucked up . The guys that made it where fresh out of college after learning how too do practical effects . They are amongst the best at practical special effects that their are . It’s really not for the faint hearted . Each movie is about 70 minutes long but they are on par with salo for the disturbing factor. Watch if you dare . It’s very graphic .

I dididn't hate it because it was slow, I hated it because it was awful... :)

It's not directed by Eli Roth, he only produced it. Also, it's a sad state of affairs, if his movies are really considered "borderline ridiculous disturbing". ALSO, also, "Aftershock" only came out like a couple of years ago, how young are you? :/

Manuel Johnen

There’s a movie on Shudder called Found about a boy whose older brother is a racist serial killer. I didn’t expect it to be so absolutely fucked up but it is (especially the ending.) It’s an actual movie with a plot and substance, so it’s not all exploitative BS. Another one is Lake Mungo (people either love it or hate it cuz it’s slow moving.) There’s ONE scene in it that gave me the worst feeling ever. The movie itself isn’t very scary, there’s some weird parts, but THAT ONE SCENE ALONE, DUDE…still makes me uncomfortable.

I’ll be real with you, I saw this when I was way too young, but there’s a movie called Aftershock that I saw as a kid that just gave me that deep sense of dreariness I heard you describe after seeing a Serbian film (which I’ve also seen and think I know what you meant). I don’t even know if it’s on Netflix anymore, but it’s directed by Eli Roth, who loves making over the top borderline ridiculous disturbing movies. It’s the movie I was most disturbed by in recent memory. I don’t wanna gas it up too much, since I remember very little besides the feeling it gave me, and I was like 13 so take that with a grain of salt. It’s essentially a movie that sets out to be a fun sort of survival movie but takes a turn and becomes more realistically upsetting (realistically probably should be in quotes though, since it’s VERY over the top from what I can remember). I don’t know if it’s any interest to you, but I did think it was worth letting you know (Also just in case this makes it to a video you should know my names Emmett lol there’s something wrong with my account and I can’t change it to my actual name).

Emmett Graves.

Just found out that filmed came out when I turned 9 when I went to look it up just now 😊💖♍️

Martyrs was the most disturbing movie I have seen in recent years (the original french one) it has rly good acting effects and picture/music quality the theme is just so dark and depressing.(careful theres a cut version of it). A really good slasher I watched last year was Haunt, its based on a haunted house and the victims act clever for once and they explain why for example they cant call for help. If you look for creative kills the australian clown slasher stitches is also allright, def has creative kills.

Visitor Q def threw me for a loop when i bought the dvd boxset of Takashi Miike back in the day!

Rayne Nyx

I thought it was a pretentious flick that does the "style over substance" shtick, just like many other Refn's movies do. It's really about nothing in particular, and tries so hard to be edgy. I wasn't unsettled, I was annoyed, especially cause I waited for it with a certain amount of hype. :/

Why is Martyrs dumb? It does everything a really disturbing horror movie is supposed to, and it has a neat point in the end. It's brilliant, as opposed to the other garbage that the director made.

Idk a spooky porno for Halloween

“The Neon Demon”…….it’s, it’s …something. More unsettling than disturbing

Nikki Cortez

Cannibal Holocaust or The House that Jack Built. Outside of the iceberg, go Visitor Q or Gozu by Takashi Miike

If I have to chose one from the iceberg however, then I'm for "Melancholie der Engel"... I'm trying to get that one on DVD myself, maybe you can tell me if it's worth it or not... :P

Manuel Johnen

"Martyrs" is a piece of dumb shit. If you have to, do a REALLY disturbing movie then... "Threads" from 1984. Good luck...

Manuel Johnen

I second Martyrs, as one of both the most disturbing and most favorite horror movies. It's effed up and it's smart. Now, I love Lars von Trier to death and The House That Jack Built is a masterpiece, but to truly grasp what the author wanted to say, you'd have to watch his previous stuff - specifically his "Depression Trilogy", that is Antichrist, Melancholia, and Nymphomaniac. So, I think it is kinda too much to unpack for one video. It's much more than a horror movie, all of his stuff is quite philosophical

Midsommar or The Human Centipede

I fully agree with The House That Jack Built and the August Undergrounds. Crazy and disturbing. The latter is far more exploitative while the former is, like, an actual movie.

Nick Lulich

Beyond The Black Rainbow, The Void, Beyond the Gates, &/or Sunshine!

Welcome to the dollhouse is a pretty good one. Its not a gore fest, its more in the vain of happiness.

I Saw the Devil is pretty good if you’re into foreign films!! Or The House That Jack Built!!!

Joanna Sørensen

Midsommar or hereditary, possibly tackle some more of the classics like the original Halloween or the original Texas chainsaw,I’m not sure how far down that iceberg you want to go,there is definitely a point of no return.I’ve seen some of the bottom tier shit&there is no unseeing it once you done it.

Scottie Digital 76

Just like "Nobody Cares Productions" said I would like to see you review August Underground....

Ju-On: The Grudge. I watched it today and it freaked me the fuck out.

Danielle T.

There’s a found footage film from 2007 called Exhibit A that I found extremely disturbing and very good. Without saying too much, it’s not a spooky ghost movie, but something that could legitimately happen, and it’s quite chilling.

Not on here but the August Underground, August Underground’s Mordum, and August Underground’s Penance... you’ll see why

I don’t remember if you’ve seen Martyrs yet, but it’s probably the most disturbing movie I’ve seen besides Cannibal Holocaust (also a great pick) https://g.co/kgs/hneGfw
