Poll Overview So Far
Added 2025-06-11 17:09:36 +0000 UTCA quick overview on the polls. So far, you have collectively voted to:
- Keep Inquisitor Warlock (with the caveat of adding an entry to the Beginner's Guide Book explaining this mod)
- Do not add Inigo (and remove Indigo)
- Remove Practical Necromancy
- Add Wintersun
and we've had some voting on Custom Skills Framework Addons, with many voting in favor of Blended Skills more than the rest by far.
I have however noted a particular trend, which is worrying. Many comments are suggesting to remove a number of the quest mods we use (Wheels of Lull, Mzark, Project AHO, Bruma, Forgotten City). While I don't inherently disagree with these sentiments, it is cause for concern.
Quest mods are my favorite thing. I've played Skyrim so many times that I just want reasons to stay in the world, which I generally accomplish by adding new places to go, new things to do, new people to meet. So while I can think of a dozen reasons to remove any number of quest addons, I'm concerned over the lack of things that would replace them.
For example:
The Vicn stuff hangs on by a thread. They're a lot of fun and really well designed, but there's a lot of unvoiced stuff, which really bothers me.
Wonders of Mzark is the most performance-unfriendly thing in the world, even though it is far from the mainland and is very standalone.
Project AHO is also self-contained (though I agree it's very much a one-time-only kind of mod; plus, there's an issue with BTPS where you can enter the area when you shouldn't be able to).
Lull can be pretty depressing and confusing, and the platforming isn't great. It also bothers me how negative everyone is. Constantly doing favors for everyone, and they all still talk down to me and insult me the whole time.
Forgotten City is great, but everyone has indeed played it by this point, so it kind of loses its luster. I likely won't remove this one, but it's more standard fare than anything at this point.
Bruma tends to not get along with lod generation, which can be irritating. I also see a lot of people saying it's really buggy, but I played it on stream and it was fine, so I don't really know where that comes from.
Umbra turns into a weirdo waifu mod in chapter 3, so despite the first two chapters being interesting, it is largely overshadowed by all...that.
Point being, I can think of reasons to remove a ton of stuff. But what I really don't see are suggestions on what else to add in. I've downloaded a number of things I've seen, be it from simply browsing Nexus or reading your comments/suggestions (Gore, Miasma, etc), but I don't like the thought of deleting 10 quest mods and just...not having the extra stuff to do. I know I always preach quality over quantity, and I still fully embrace that, but that doesn't mean quantity should be reduced to near zero, if that makes sense.
To that end, I want to simply ask: what quest mods do you enjoy? What would you like to see added (or even just playtested)? I'd like to get opinions on what is good, instead of what is bad.
Comments
I believe removing quest mods (especially without replacement by another) would only serve to weaken Tempus. It's an amazing modlist with so many varied things to do and questlines to partake in. Seeing that diminished would be a shame.

2025-06-14 00:34:59 +0000 UTCI wouldn't want to see any of the quests removed. The sheer amount of quests is what draws me to lists like Tempus and Lost Legacy over some of the more "focused" modlists. I don't want the prettiest graphics and vanilla+ gameplay philosophy. I want my Skyrim adventure to be a sprawling oddysey that has room for basically any kind of character.
