“I’ve had enough of this dreadfully boring conversation. I’ll deal with you two later.” Mariana made a few gestures with her hands, and Selena and Fiona found themselves paralyzed. They could see and hear, but they couldn’t move and could almost speak, although only muffled noises came out, as if they were gagged. Almost immediately, they levitated up above everyone else, frozen in a position with their arms out and their legs slightly spread.
Rowena’s knuckles went white on her blade. She had to make a choice. If this sorceress was so powerful compared to her previous lieges, should she challenge her? If the sisters got free, they’d be sure to punish her, but if she attacked this Mariana, things could actually go worse. She decided to wait and see what happened. Maeve had no loyalties in this situation, so her inaction was calculated with much less hesitation.

I actually did this render twice because I wasn't satisfied with their expressions on the first run through. It cost a little more than an hour to redo it.
