I just came back to Kyiv from the frontline in Zaporizhhzhia. I was embedded with the the Chaplin's battalion from Mariupol, which is led by Gennadiy Mokhnenko, an extremely chiasmatic priest who helped evacuate many civilians from the Russian advance, and is just an all around fascinating person. I will release a full video about him, and the delivery of aid to civilians near the frontline village of Orikhiv. Tweet thread and pictures here: https://twitter.com/DylanBurns1776/status/1646634080732053506
While I was in Zaporizhhzhia, I also interviewed military chef's like Chef Zhenya (https://twitter.com/chefzhenya), staff at a Ukrainian drone school, crews clearing the rubble of deadly Russian shelling on local civilians, and displaced families from Mariupol who lived under Russian occupation. Expect much of this footage to be released periodically on twitter, Instagram, and of course on YouTube. Don't expect all of this content to be released immediately, since I also have an interview with the foreign legionnaire by the nick name of "Spaghetti Cossack" I still need to release, and a project still in the works on the "Rage Against the War Machine" march. My editors and translators can only work so fast :)
We also have a new interview out with Ukrainian sappers who helped defend Kyiv at the start of the Russian invasion. The interview was in depth, touching on the morality of using mines in war, de-mining work after the war, politics, and more. I really hope you check it out, and it should be embedded to this post. Epect more interviews like this in the future, trying to set more up in Kharkiv, and many other locations across Ukraine.
I am also in the early stages of setting up a fundraising stream to raise money for de-mining equipment for the Ukrainian military, and working with Ukrainian organizers. Trying to get some other streamers to sign up to join a charity stream, and have already gotten a few to agree to appear.
Thanks again for supporting my journalism. I love my work, and I would not be able to do what I love if it was not for your generous support. Let's keep up the grind.
