In other words, do you like to watch and help the main character or do you like to be the main character, be associated with, reserve this place for yourself, so to speak.
Personally I like then playable character is the character, has distinct personality, features and traits. Then game force me to create a char (like in Fallout for example) the story looses its magic to me, because of course I know it's all fake and fantasy, I'm sitting at a PC ffs and my ass is sweaty.
