The person that entrusted Lang Ying, the bandaged Yong An boy, to Xie Lian was A-Ying, the girl that helped him with his bridal makeup and robes in the first two episodes of season one. She died trying to help Xie Lian against the ghost groom and since she had been the one taking care of Lang Ying, Xie Lian promised her he'd look out for Lang Ying before she passed. There's no bigger significance behind her, so don't worry about that! Poor E'ming's scream when Xie Lian took the blow meant for Qianqiu, that little scimitar is too cute.
