Listening to your W Korea podcast episode - you made so many valid points but I really love how you've highlighted the actual individual accountability for those attending. Obviously W Korea is largely behind the style of the event and a lot of the bad choices BUT that no one turned up and wore a pink ribbon or seemed to donate a significant amount considering their wealth or even posted whilst they were at the event to highlight breast cancer awareness - like what?! I would also say I totally get your point with the celebrities seeing it as a way to just hang out in a way they don't always get to and I don't want to be too harsh either because they're people and they make mistakes and maybe they weren't completely briefed properly on the event (though I feel like, they're adults most of them and they shouldn't need everything spoon-fed to them) But saying that, this particular group of celebrities, as you said, were like the a-listers and most of these ones actually do get to publicly hang out at magazine, move and fashion events all throughout the year. If it was more of a c-list group I could see how that could be more of a reason but I don't know if I see it with a lot of these attendees... You're right anyway, it's an ongoing issue in this industry that people who serve the industry and feed into it do not want these celebrities to have to face any negativity and it's crazy because celebrities are people, they'll make mistakes and it's good for all people to be able to recognise and grow from the mistakes they make but that can't be done if people keep "protecting" these people, just because they like their art and/or their media personality (and I get this too! I like a lot of the art & media personas etc. but it shouldn't excuse everything) Maybe this event will open some people's eyes to that and those who attended the event themselves.

I realized i posted this on the wrong post. Hi, so the Rm funding AI is unconfirmed, if the proven news we’re getting is articles, i’d believe anyone. I just started thinking, and I realized how strange that attempt was to cancel BTS using the W korea event just after it was announced that the government had “lost” the donation of money that Namjoon made.. Also, we also don’t know who donated, right? So it’s unfair to hate them bc of it. Also, it is confirmed by a news article that they were required to go because the people that were going were not going to donate, instead, the fashion brands that were associated with them were. Like Celine and Cartier, that was the whole point of the event. So they went if they did donate we don't know, if the did not, the brands basically tied to them, donated for them. That’s the jist :) Just in case, you did not know, all the money from the sold out products of these fashion brands represented by the members went to the donations therefore it is entirely up to 1. The organizers, 2. The fashion brands. 3. The government. If we got anything by the suga hate campaign that was also proven to be false even when reported by multiple “trustworthy” news outlets, it is never to believe people based on words only.

just FYI , people equating coca cola to zionism is not it! rather than holding the goverments and world leaders and oligarchs accountable for the mess and state of the world , we are here merely picking singers apart for not being more aware of what's happening to the world like its going to make a difference is stupidity and is going to make no difference to anything what so ever. thats not zionism or even supporting zionism. Coca cola korea is completely independent to coca cola usa. its is owned by LG, a korean brand. it is just one google search away when you claim to have done some research. So its absolutely ridiculous to blame v or anybody else for things like this, bts get the brunt of all internet kpop hate regardless of them doing good or bad things. so your point of them doing questionable things last 6 months is invalid. Thats misinformation and just pure hate for hate's sake. moreso from stans of other groups mostly due to jealously or to follow hate trains or get more views and clicks. For RM's AI funding, he is not funding ai art. he is one of 500 angel investors that invested in the platform where openai's chatgpt model helps curate artists and artworks from small to largescale artists, making it easy for small and medium-sized galleries to sell their art overseas and giving more exposure to niche artists and their art. Tell me you honestly havent used chatgpt like ever. and if the platform is helping artists get more exposure and using already existing ai tools to help the art industry grow more globally, not exploit it. Does it make it ethically wrong? rm has always stood up for korean ART and artists and is so passionate about ART hence proving his involvement in this project, which btw there is no clear evidence or proof of just some articles online claiming so. Just having BTS members on flashing negative headlines for clickbait and engagement does not make any claim true. infact most of the stupid claims online about said idols are so baseless and has nothing to do with activism or humanity. it has everything to do with trying to be morally superior online but doing zero offline for any cause. Real activism does not start and end online, im sorry. its all bullshit. Just this past year alone, the bts members have done more philanthropy work than the rest of the kpop industry combined. But if it does not suit certain people's expections or they literally did not announce and stand up for every single cause and situation that is affecting people all over the world, they are branded as hypocrites. guess what, their whole message from the start was about loving yourself and speaking your truth. When did it have anything to do with political views of the world. it has everything to do with civil rigthts and speaking your own voice. and btw let me know what you have done to let your goverments know you do not agree with their funding of israel's military. FREE PALESTINE, peace!
