on a more fun note

image comics recently started publishing smaller versions of their hit books and they decided to include sunstone there as well.

and the format is 6x9

yeah... it's smallstone 69! nice!

but joking aside if you got the usual editions you don't need these. only new thing about them are the covers and well... you can just get those pics here XD

i'm not big on variants so you only see them if a publisher asks for something for a specific reason like the german edition of volume 5 that got split in 2 so i had to make another cover or the top cow store exclusive book 6 or the hardcover reprints. (those are unlikely to happen again as the third hardcover sales just aren't there so we may discontinue them altogether)

trust me by industry standards that's like having no variants whatsoever XD my point is i don't want to have people rebuy the same book out of fear of missing out so just wanted to clarify it. no new content in these. they're basically just mangasized. and you already get the cover pics here :)

now if you are still interested in these, preorders are available on amazon and https://www.thalia.de/ and in any decent comic store

Do you know if the original artwork printing for book two is available anywhere? I have book one and three in the minimalistic art style but I would love a matching second one

Cool artwork, but as already have the TPB's and hardcover I'll skip these.

sales are low on those so there won't be a second print, in fact there won't be more hardcovers past this point. too expensive to produce. book 3 didn't even reach 50 amazon reviews for passive promotion by the site so it's kinda where it all ends for that

Do you think you’ll ever do a follow up cover for the hardcover for book 3 of Sunstone that matches the character centric ones? I know it depends on printing and whatnot. Just figuring if I should hold off to have matching covers

Gah! Bad Memories. Back in the 60s when I was in elementary school, teachers at one school I attended used to design and customize paddles for speed and sting factor. They would spend time comparing paddles and even had a competition (no butts were hurt during) It used to give me nightmares.
