June '25 Update

Hi Guys, it's time for an update.

I have a small hardware release coming, but mostly I'm working on backend stuff and future projects. Plus I've been on my summer holiday.

For my Maker ($8) release I am putting out a new receiver for SSR1 Beta. It's a drop-in replacement for the current one for the FeelStroker case. I already knew theoretically that a cone is stiffer than a cylinder, especially against side loads, but it took me until this month to remember it! I think this receiver is quite a big improvement on the old design.

I have a lot of work that I want to do on largely unseen stuff, such as software and new device concepts that are in the pipeline. The trouble is that this is at odds with my desire to make sure that I have something to release at the beginning of each month. Small releases like this seem to be the best answer I have currently.

I'm pleased to say that the Benefactors ($16 tier) newsletter is up to date this month! In the latest issue I talked about the CAD work I did to design the ergo case I released at the beginning of this month, and the intricacies of product photography.

I've been away from my desk, in various other countries for various reasons. Once I'm back I'm going to get back on livestreams again. I've had a request for a livestream on the SR6 inverse kinematics and I think I might do another one on SSR1 motor dynamics.
