This is the hardware release for June: I call it the Ergo Body. I have designed this with handheld use in mind. It's an alternate case base, case cover and fan housing for SSR1 Beta. There are A and B variants of the case cover. All of the other SSR1 parts, assembly procedures, etc are exactly the same.
As with the standard case it uses M3 heat set thread inserts. You will need an extra 2x M3x25mm countersunk bolts for the case cover and 4x M3x20mm regular bolts to mount the fan cover.
I highly recommend that you try printing the original case parts before you print these. This is because, particularly for some older 3D printers or some materials, the print tolerances might not work out, the pieces won't fit together and you'll need to adjust your slicer and re-print. These parts need considerably more material and print time than the originals.
I'm using PLA on a Bambulabs P1P and this goes together perfectly first time.
Have fun!
