Patrons update - February 2025

Hi Guys,

The SSR1 build instructions are coming but it's going to be a little while longer.

I hate to keep using the same excuse but unfortunately I, and my family, have been unwell for the last month. As I've mentioned, I have a 1-year old son and from the moment he started moving and interacting with other kids his age Mrs.T and I seem to have been constantly sick with something. One particular lowlight was getting norovirus in December. The worst for me, however, was when I managed to catch something called hand, foot, and mouth disease over Christmas, from which I am still recovering!

Don't get me wrong, I love being a dad, but it has been a lot to work through!

I was aiming for 1st Feb for the SSR1 Beta instructions, but I am going to need a little more time. Partly it's been that my work rate has been rather compromised. I also however seriously underestimated the amount of work needed. I have already written 23 pages for this assembly document and I am far from finishing it. I'm not going to rush this though, it's going to be of the same high quality as my OSR2 and SR6 documents.

I'd like to thank you guys for bearing with me. I would like to get this document out in the next week. If I can't do that what I will do is put out a minor hardware release for February instead.

In the meantime I am thinking that I might be feeling well enough to do a short livestream this week. I'm going to try for Wednesday 12th February at 11pm GMT (6pm EST). Keep your eyes on Discord for that.

All the best,

Tempest

Can we please get the BoM so we can at least get things ordered?

"Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease" - That's one I actually had to go look up! Glad it wasn't TOO serious by the sounds of it - a week of WTF then getting better. However, I did discover this little nugget in the wiki that my inner tween had a good giggle over given your profession... "Coxsackievirus A16 is the most common cause" :-)

Feel better soon T!
