Hi guys, it's time for a monthly update. We've just had the release of the build plans for SR6 Beta. This month I will be releasing some extra bits for SR6 Beta, and a livestream and video on the T-Code firmware. My Benefactors will also be seeing some progress I've made on a couple of other ideas I've been working on.
The part files for SR6 Beta have been around for a couple of months now but in the last few days I released the build plans. This is a 6,000 word document that will take you through the build process in detail, step-by-step. It also includes a complete parts list. SR6 is a bit more complex than OSR2, but I think I've done a good job of making this project very accessible to anybody who wants to have a go at putting one together.
The document takes you through each and every assembly step, with bullet points and photographs. Some small amount of soldering is required, but it's simple stuff and forgiving if it goes wrong.
This month for the Maker tier there are a number of alternate parts for SR6 that I want to make available. These include a couple of tray options, and provision for cooling the main enclosure using a fan. SR6 Beta was of course designed with customisability in mind. (Edit 11-2-22: Images added)
For my Supporter tier I intend to do two discord livestreams this month: Monday 7th and Monday 21st February. These will start at 11pm GMT (5pm EST).
On 7th I plan to take a look at the Twist mechanism. This is a very popular feature and I've been thinking about moving to the mk4 version for a while now. You guys are more than welcome to join me and hang out whilst I do this.
On 21st I will be doing a rundown of T-Code and the Arduino sketch that runs the OSR2. From this livestream I will record and release a video summary, which will be released to the Supporter tier.
As always a big thankyou to everyone who contributes toward my work. It's a privilage to be free to produce this stuff for you all.
