March Update - Random Strokers

Hi guys,

So, what have I been up to recently?

Last month I mentioned that I was looking at the nogasm/protogasm as a peripheral device for the OSR2/SR6. As part of this I have been re-visiting the work I did last year with random stroker scripts. This was overdue anyway as SR6 presents a lot of new possibilities.

The nogasm is a device that can detect the approach of a climax in its user, and it's quite startlingly good at this! In its original guise it provides feedback control to a vibrator, but I want to find a way of linking it up to an OSR2/SR6. This is an exciting concept, but I also want to do it in such a way that there are simpler ways of using the same capability for those of you who don't want to assemble a nogasm.

Multi-axis stroker robots are much more complicated than something like a vibrator in that they have a near infinite number of possible movement patterns that they can make. I had a go at writing a script that would produce a variety of thrusting patterns last April: it's on the discord server if you want to find it. I then built the exact same algorithm into a Virt-a-Mate plugin, which is packaged up in my serial controller available from the VaM hub.

I think I have the basics of a much better algorithm working now. I can parameterise some very complex patterns in 6 degrees of freedom, and I've been having fun creating a range of different movement patterns. I've attached some short video clips to give you an idea of the sort of thing that's possible. I've been drawing inspiration from places like Bachata dance videos, and I might well do a devblog video to showcase some of this.

Ultimately this new code is destined to go into a VaM plugin, which like my old one will also animate the female character. I might also look at a standalone PC app if there's enough interest. I'm working with SR6 in mind but needless to say any random stroker software that works for the SR6 will also work on OSR2 but with reduced movements.

For my $8 patrons I've been taking a look at adding a locking system for the T-wist ring gear. Hopefully I can come up with something that addresses this, as this is a common issue that seems to keep coming up in user feedback. I also want to get some build notes for the SR6 alpha up.

I've also got a couple of devblog posts in the pipeline for $2 patrons, so stay tuned for those.

Last month was a superb month in terms of growth and engagement, so I'd like to give a warm welcome to my new supporters, and big thanks to all of you who are contributing. It's thanks to you guys that I can invest the hours I can into this exciting new tech.

Happy building!
Tempest

I will be putting out some build notes for the SR6 Alpha in the near future yes. Detailed build instructions might have to wait for SR6 Beta.

Have you plans to release detailed build instructions for the SR6 as you have with the OSR2.1?

definitely interested in a "script that would produce a variety of thrusting patterns " for the OSR2

Yeah that's basically the idea. The nogasm can't exactly give an arousal level 0-100%, but it can definitely press the "panic button" for you.

A randomizer is one of my most anticipated features. Cheers and thanks for the work on this. Seems a small addition to most but I personally find it more enjoyable to have random movements happening while viewing non-video content. When it comes to scripted videos my mind just fixates on how accurate they are and I can't enjoy myself as much.

As far as integrating the nogasm deal, a simple solution would be just to halt movement of the stroker. Going back to the realtouch that was a great option. Video continues, but pause the device until you have calmed down.
