Hi Guys,
This is the September release and it's coming slightly later in the month than I would have liked but I have had to do several test builds to make sure everything was just right.
The OSR2.1 Base is a like-for-like replacement of the old OSR2 base and compatible with all the associated modular upgrades. This redesign is however much sturdier than the old one. It's also had some subtle changes such as a shorter support arm boss, which should make integration with the OSR2+ pitcher easier. I have also improved access to the Romeo and moved the power bus on switch hole to the top of the box, away from the moving arms.
I have gone back to M3 nuts for the bolts holding the servos, but now these are held firmly in little pockets, making assembly a lot less fiddly. M3x10 bolts should still work but due to the thicker walls I would now recommend M3x12s.
I have designed a much better clip-on lid, as I am still a big believer in keeping that part a snap-fit design, which allows easy access to the insides of the machine. There are also bolt holes however, for those who want to screw their lid down.
I have also created an alternate lid option, which has a mounting slot for a 40mm 5v PC fan, which can be hooked up to the 5v USB power (using the power pins next to the analog pins).
I think this design will much better endure the fast, powerful servos you guys have been wanting to use with the OSR2. As I have mentioned before I am working on a new, multi-axis machine (SR6), but this upgrade should make the OSR2 as the solid, go-to, entry-level machine, and perfect for scripted video content.
The parts are modelled in the print orientation and designed to be printed with supports turned off.
Enjoy!

I will be PMing the password to all of you. Alternatively the files are available on Discord, or you can always switch over to supporting me on SubscribeStar who don't have this problem.)
