July sneak peek

I've been busy!

This is the July release. I give you the T-wist: a new receiver that adds coaxial rotations (ie R0) to your OSR2.

This has been perhaps one of the most asked for extra features for the OSR2. it's taken me a long time, but I didn't want to disappoint. I have to take my hat off to Draak who has already created a twist receiver for OSR2. This is my own take on that concept, to which I have added a potentiometer in the T-valve housing, which allows position tracking. The T-wist can therefore rotate about +/- 120 degrees, and there's no risk of your cables getting wrapped around anything important.

This build might require a little more confidence because of the potentiometer, but it's not too complicated and it all plugs into the Romeo quite neatly.

For those of you who want to know what parts to buy to build this you will need a supply of M3x8 bolts, some short M2 bolts (M2x6, M2x8), a single M4 nut and bolt (I use a hex head and a wingnut), a continuous rotation micro servo and a 24mm 10k potentiometer. A big pack of servo extension leads will also help (I have used 6x 30cm leads), and I've tidied everything up with spiral cable binding and cable ties..

I want to get this out ASAP so I intend to get the build files up with some bare bones instructions within a few days. I also have some ideas for some improvements, which I will be releasing at the beginning of next month.

See you soon!
