July - Quick status update
Added 2020-07-05 22:49:29 +0000 UTCHi guys,
This is a quick status update as I'm aware I've been quiet for a couple of weeks now, we're into a new month and you're probably wondering what's happened.
I've been working on another modular upgrade to OSR2. It's taken a bit longer than I expected. I've tested it and it works, but it's not quite presentable yet. I've had to make multiple parts to get the fit right, and my 3D printer is currently working overtime. The design works okay - good enough to release the parts soon - but I've also an idea about how to improve it.
My plan then is this:
I will do a reveal of the prototype to my patrons in the next few days. Several days after that I should be able to get the build files and some basic instructions out. I then plan to release a mk2 version at the beginning of August, which should use a lot of the same parts.
I'd like to say thanks to all of you for your support. I've sunk a lot of hours into this, and it's you guys that make that possible.
In the meantime I would like give a shoutout to a video by IssacNewtongue. In it he gives a really good summary on how to use my T-Code serial controller plugin for VaM. It's similar to one I created several months back, but that one is out of date and he does a much better job of it.

I'd also encourage you to check out his Patreon page as he produces a lot of great content that works well with your favourite multi-axis stroker robot:
