Prometheus novel where art thou
Added 2022-11-03 10:35:13 +0000 UTCNovelizations based on the films of the Alien franchise have been a celebrated addition to the fandom since Alan Dean Foster wrote the first novel for Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror masterpiece back in 1979. Each film in the franchise has received official novelizations. Conspicuously, Ridley Scott's 2012 return to the franchise Prometheus only received a Japanese novelization and has been requested for English translation ever since.
It is the aim of this project to rectify this situation and provide both a straight English translation of the Japanese novelization, as well as a creative interpretation. Sources for the creative interpretation will draw on Dan O'Bannon's screenplay for Alien, the fourth draft script from Jon Spaihts known as Alien: Engineers, Damon Lindelof's shooting script for Prometheus, contextual elements revealed in Jon Logan's screenplay for Alien: Covenant, and the text David's Drawings by Matt Hatton and Dane Hallett.
