Plumber spaniel were called the fat man's hunting dog and while they can be a real handful as puppies (the one I had experience with chewed the edge off all the baseboard moulding in a very large home)but segued into a very lazy couch potato as an adult. You will find it harder to make one exercise while other gun dogs are hard to give enough exercise. My experience is over 20 years old so the breed may changed since then, but they used to be few and expensive. One well thought of breeder was in Rhode Island, but I can't recall the name. They aren't as openly affectionate as say a golden but they can be very good companions

The horrible flavor in the gummies is probably the monk fruit. It gets used along with stevia as a sugar substitute in foods and beverages that are trying to be "healthy/healthier" . Whether anything replacing sugar as a sweetener ever achieves that is doubtful. It has been my experience that stevia and monk fruit both leave a truly awful aftertaste the tends to ruin the flavor of anything they are used in.

If they're anything like cocker spaniels they are hyper when young but they get lazy with age. Very loving and prone to ear infections and skin issues. And they need constant attention and can get very attached and lonely
