2025-03-11 11:02:24 +0000 UTCMy brother had one of the Spanish "artillery carbine" Mausers, converted by the Spanish army to 7.62mm NATO; he used it for pig hunting on BLM land. Very convenient for carrying through brush and stuff, nice light weight -- but the heavy recoil and muzzle blast were not fun. So it was an excellent gun if you never had to fire it!
