From Canfield's book "the M1 Garand Rifle"

Dennis McNamara

M1 Garand production - rough summary to October 1939 15000, to June 1940 50000, Cost between $75 - 80

Dennis McNamara

Speaking of the shit collecters market, I had the weirdest non-gunshow interaction recently. I saw an ad for two win97s at reasonable prices. I get there and one is a bit of a dog and the other is perfect. I offered a less than 10 percent lower than asking price for the dog. The guy immediately responds that he won't take a penny less than the asking price of the perfect gun, because he knows what he has invested in them, but I can choose which one I want. I was so agrivated I just left without buying anything.

Mr. Lee

Same on the edc. When people ask about 32acp I just tell them it's for when you need to shoot someone politely.

Buffington loved himself some complicated sights, didn't he?

Bruce Brodnax

When I was asking about your favorite overly complicated sight, I didn’t quite mean your favorite to actually use. I meant it more in the sense of “favorite absurdity” sense. One a second note, I actually carry a 1903 Pocket Hammerless as my EDC. 1905 production date. Love it! Easily the most comfortable thing I have ever carried

Oscar Floyd

If looking for a 1914 Colt Potato digger, the VMI Museum you have worked with before has one. I am a recent Alumni from there. I have a picture of top markings.

Reid Hampton

The original 1903 Springfield rear sight is a complicated nuisance.

Michael James Blum

The answer to the BAR/Lewis gun question is obviously the BREN gun🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🦄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🦄😂
