In the side by side comparison of the Colt & Savage 1907 pistols at 4:45, you say that Ordnance requested that the Savage's metal grip plates be replaced with wood, but then the notes in red say "No Wood".

the luger didn't get a real fair chance with late order, did it. though I love the 1911 dearly... earlier model that I'd have to use or luger... from operating the darn thing luger! not that germans were much interested in the order..
