Thanks!

less than a dozen realistic finds. 40-odd if we found it all

C&Rsenal

Great as always, Othais! I have a question about the WWI series. I realize you don't want to release the names of the guns you still want to cover, because basically people are dicks! I am wondering if you could tell us the approximate number of guns. Are we talking just like 20 or more than 50+? I realize there are guns you'd love to get, but will never happen because of their rarity. Just curious...

Dr. B

Oh no! I actually started going back from episode one all over and I love those opening monologues too...but I get you need to do what you need to do. I'm willing to accept a lot if it keeps C&Rsenal afloat! Good luck guys!

Daniel Feep

The old intros had that classy, well polished documentary feel. Missing that won't stop me from partaking in some of the best content on the interwebs. At least you're seeing a positive result.

TankDestroyerSarge

We were getting inundated with messages from new viewers saying "They didn't even shoot the gun." bc they just scrub through the episode. Since changing the intro we've had about 20% increase in traffic.

C&Rsenal

Thank

C&Rsenal

accurate.

C&Rsenal

We'll get it on the next pod.

C&Rsenal

Sadly I'm just struggling to make it even happen.

One thing I’ve been thinking of is the grips and difficulty with the hammer on some revolvers, and stiffness on other handguns and in this case with the slide. A point I heard on Military History Visualized* is that we need think about how “hard” people’s hands used to be, and how strong they were, officers would also use gloves quite often which is a huge advantage. * The network of real history on YT is really impressive. Forgotten Weapons, The Chieftain, C&R etc. just stunning

I've noticed there haven't been Othias opening monologues recently. I love them. Any particular reason you haven't been doing them?

TankDestroyerSarge

is this the worst taskedown ever? that grip angle as far towards the back as it is... horrible handling by the looks of it. caliber seems fine though.

Guido Schriewer

Slam fire full auto!

Gage

Once again you guys have satisfied my itch to delve into the arcane and obscure. Good job!

Wayne Dygert

And were-pig poster purchased. Mine act just like that when ever they hear the sound of a plastic salad bag rustling. Or any plastic bag. Or the fridge door. Or the sound of chopping veg. Or the sound of anything vaguely food related! Pavlov eat your heart out!

Gavin Rea-Davies

looking at that retaining block, if inserted backwards, would it hold the firing pin forwards, which would then detonate a cart upon chambering, cycling the slide, and repeating?

Gavin Rea-Davies

This one , to me, scream 9 Glisenti or Corto, it will be soo much easy to shoot.

Matteo Manino

This one has to be a boy because "it's certainly not as boxy."

James McKenzie

What I want to know, is how Mae can tell the gender of a firearm. all the handguns I have manipulated do not seem to have an obvious gender Identifier.

jeffere a fradsham

Ordered Madsen patches. Madtches? Padtchen? Something.

James McKenzie

Zoro always wore a glove.

jeffere a fradsham

Okay, that was an ominous update at the end there. What's going on, Othias and Mae? 🥴

David Axel Hansen

Othais is so good at uncovering forgotten gems of history from the works of primary researches all over the world. That painstaking work is extremely appreciated here!

Episode #138... in which long festering trauma of being denied food for pronouncing a foreign word correctly comes to light. I almost feel bad about commenting on russian patronymic pronunciation in Berdan II episode.... almost .

VintagePhone

I'm pretty sure Othias is saving the 1911 for some sort of Grand Finale!

jeffere a fradsham

Love these C&Rsenal episodes. I always knew they were made with love, until I saw that C&Rsenal podcast where Othias admitted every episode is made of pain and agony. The C&Rsenal teams works damn hard and I appreciate it. Can't wait to watch this episode!

Gage

A 19-what? If it hasn't been on C&Rsenal, it didn't happen.

Gage

Never heard of 'em

Tenacious Trilobite

One day we may learn about the 1911 or colt 1895...

Sam Taylor

Ohhhhh something I've never heard of ! Excellent, will listen to this at work tomorrow
