I wish I had heard this...

C&Rsenal

Oh if there were 3 of me...

C&Rsenal

We've become better at splitting episodes in half to save sanity. So when they tip the scales we break them up.

C&Rsenal

For the sake of ease and convenience in future we should use 3.0 as the value of Pi. No need for all those fiddly extra numbers after the decimal. What could possibly go wrong

Stuart Burton

I think that’s a tad pedantic. I understand that at the time Germany still wasn’t a unified state. However speaking now in context as a historian based in a separate subject, referring to a place in the modern nomenclature, I think we can easily overlook it for the sake of ease and convenience.

Jack Fairbrother

(After the camera flip) holy shit

Ian

I'm concerned about my son. . .he dropped out of engineering school and joined something called "The Syndicate" XD

Erik

I'm I the only one that finds it is ironic that the name "Madsen" is associated with the first adopted shouldered auto rifle at the turn of the century and then the last adopted general issue bolt action in the form of the M47?

Richard Anderson

I disagree it was seven years before German unification and there was several major wars between 1864 and 1871. Calling it Germany at the time would be like calling the entire North American continent the USA

Stuart Burton

Enh, the second war was basically during and around the unification anyway, and predominantly prosecuted by the whole of the German states. I think short-handing it as "Germany" is reasonable given the show is about firearms history in the Great War and not the various European gongshows prior to that.

Guns go Bang not Pow!

Veteran of the Mushroom Wars

Tiny nitpick but surely the Schleswig-Holstein war was between Denmark and Prussia/Austria. Germany didn't exist as a state till 1871

Stuart Burton

I'll never look at toothpicks the same again.

Robin Roberts

Does anyone know what i wanna say but wont cause it seems to be stressing Othias out. Keep Up the good work

Phil Byrd

Really enjoyed this. The Madsen was referred to as "the virgin" because she was tricky and hard to dance with. "Virgin Madsen" was her unofficial name throughout her service life. Or well, that would have been "Jomfru Madsen", but you know.

Anders Weidik Bendsen

Oh, yeah, just think how detailed C&R Arsenal would be if they could spend time in places such as the National Museum of Denmark, and the other similar museums throughout the world.

Charles Adams

I’ve noticed a lot of episodes recently are sticking to around an hour. Has that become a sort of unspoken rule and that’s why this is a two parter instead of a Mosin length episode? Or is it just due to the stacking of the information? Love the episode I’ve been looking forward to this one! Cheers!

Jack Fairbrother

Proud to see the plastic pokey holding his own against his more sophisticated show and tell accessories

Wayne Dygert

I can admit that I did not expect to see such effective use of office supplies in a history of a machinegun... Well done.

Shaun Young

Othais has a new toy: fancy flips over guns

David Herman

Yes, for the first hour or so. You guys are our final inspection.

C&Rsenal

As much as I like feeling special for being a Patron, is it supposed to be unlisted?

Curtis Handsaker

This is my first video watched as a patron. I’m so excited to be helping make this happen.
