1. The list of things I'm looking for has become largely esoteric stuff that I'm not going to find at shows. Which reminds me, I need to send you a new list. I have a bunch more stuff now compared to when I last sent you a list.
2. I'm back in college, so I'm not working as many hours, so I'm not making as much money. Also not going to shows opens up closing on fridays and opening on saturdays as options for work.
3. Going to GOOD shows is a 4 hour time investment minimum for me, and it costs around $30 counting gas and food. Sometimes more. After a few months that's enough of a savings to buy a gun online. Or at least pay the difference between finding a good price in meatspace and getting one online.
4. I have a car loan now.
I probably won't go to shows again until I'm done with college.

Very enjoyable. I think you’ve been reading the Shirley/Vanderlinden book, as the Browning/FN connection is perfect. About guns in early WWI aircraft, those ships were so underpowered they were lucky to take off with the pilot, observer, camera, and enough fuel for the mission let alone even a lightened machine gun. That situation changed quickly, but in 1914 even a carbine was pushing it.

@ 43:43 -- Oops! You say "Winchester" when you meant Remington [you'd just been speaking of the relative sales superiority of the decade older Winchester lever design immediately prior, so it's easy to see where the mixup comes from...] Other niggles: @ 39:23, the text on screen has "are" instead of "our," & at 40:35, your narration is again correct, but the text on screen is "so *fightful*," instead of "...frightful..." Get some rest Othais; we can wait a little longer to get our fix so you can have a much-needed cat-nap... ;-)

11:20 -- Historical footnote: the .25 [or .30] Remington provided the parent brass for two modern cartridges with which many viewers may be more familiar: 10mm Auto and Rem 6.8SPC...

for what it's worth, I have seen a photo on the internet of a group of Russian troops, all armed with 1895 Winchester's, and the officer is holding a FN autoloader. they are in a trench, all with gas masks. of course, I can't find it now.

Great as ever! But... When is the episode about the Colt Government aka 1911 ready? In the past I hoped that it would be No. 100, but maybe now it will be no. 200 ;-) Keep up the excellent work!

We've gotta stop meeting like this. My wife is getting suspicious. First I watch a new episode. Then I'm searching obscure websites for yet another archaic cyberpunk looking monstrosity, and a new set of reloading dies, and... Although she does sorta like it when mysterious bouts of giggling are followed by an onslaught of desserts featuring raspberries

It's weird because when I was going to gun shows I saw a LOT of these around my area.

I admit I only knew the existence of some of these guns for BF1, this has been very illuminating for the last couple of years, so thank you so much for doing this
