I decided to be a Patron to a number of my favorite YouTubers because of what’s going on. I’ve watched for quite a while now, actually found C&Rsenal through The Great War. I hadn’t thought to look for firearms related content on YouTube prior to that. I found all of my other favorite channels after watching this one for a while. I hope others that have been watching will step up, I’m pretty much watching everything you put up now and don’t want to see you’re channel go away. I mean, we’ve got to help you at least get through WWI.

Very disappointed in Patreon for deciding to support censorship of legal content, which results in collateral damage of content creators who have not (YET) come under fire from the alt-left fascist socialists. While defunding EVERYONE to spite Patreon would be a good thing for my bank account, I don't want to punish everyone because of Patreon's mismanagement. Remember the time they wanted to charge customers an obscenely large flat fee plus percentage of EVERY contribution? I will be going through my subscriptions and asking myself, "Does supporting this content creator give me joy?" Those who do not pass the test will be dropped. (Your YouTube channel gives me joy.)

Willing to stick it out short term until a stable alternative comes online. Every supporter here needs to educate themselves on exactly what kicked off this controversy (Sargon of Akkad being banned). Patreon, likely under pressure from a organized mob of complaints, went outside of their own rules and banned a Patron for the ironical use of a slur word on a 3rd parties obscure video 10 months ago. This is about bending to the will of the SJW mob and banning dissenting views. This is a free speech issue. This is important.

I'll keep my payments going to you on Patreon until a suitable alternative comes up you can move over to. Then I am out.

Patreon isn't shutting C&Rsenal down, the whole issue is the folks who got triggered by Patreon excluding an admittedly off-the-wall gadfly for making some questionable assertions in his 'cast. Basically, he wasn't someone anyone with a lick of sense took seriously, but Patreon decided they were anti-1st amendment & it has driven away some of C&Rsenal's supporters.

What about email transfers? With my bank I can set them up to run automatically or, for all the trouble, we could just give you a years worth all at once. If it staggered out, you'd still get a regular flow.

I am utterly disgusted by Patreon's actions, But I am committed to supporting the show. As disgusting as I find there actions, I will not "allow" my anger at them to punish my favorite creators, As soon as you have a workable alternative, I will go to it, and cancel my Patreon account.

I recently purchased a handgun online using a PayPal card that required an FFL transfer, my boss at my second job as a commercial/ architectural photographer was surprised that PayPal alowed the purchase due to their "policies ". Fortunately the deal went through.

I will be honest. Another stable platform is priority number 1. However, other special projects are in motion that we cannot halt. So the nuclear option of a self-made subscription service on the main site will be a lower priority for now, but may be the long term solution.

If I may say something to anyone considering canceling your contributions to protest Patreon's actions, this is no the time to cancel your contributions. Canceling will only hurt C&amp;Rsenal and other creators that need our support. This is the time to double down and show Patreon that we support good professional content. Everyone here needs to show them that if they remove this channel that they will lose revenue. I would urge you if you are not supporting, please do so, and if you already are, considering upping your contribution a bit more. That will send the strongest message possible to Patreon. this is apparently "white knight" politics from the progressive left that is hitting not just firearms channels but everyone from small artist channels as well. pressure from groups wanting to ban anything that may "hurt" someone's feelings now is affecting people - even if they are not in the USA. I saw a video from a performance artist about this issue yesterday - she did not understand what was happening - and since she is based in China and has been on Subscibstar since the beginning - well-- has no clue why.

Regardless of whether or not it will matter, you officially just gave me good reason to up my monthly contribution. This channel is genuinely some of the most interesting long-form discussion anywhere on the internet, and I want to do everything in my power to help it succeed.

In this case Patreon is counting on users boycotting it because it accomplishes the goal of whittling down the content it supports to what they deem is acceptable without actually pushing content creators off the platform themselves, it's no skin off of them to force boycotts, it only hurts the content creators, this kind of hostage taking is unacceptable. I'd say it's time to interface with Ian, Karl, James over at The Firearm Blog, and Adam Kraut and figure out a game plan about pushing back at Patreon to protect your content

We will watch for any reliable alternative for our affected users. However, in choosing a new platform we also, invariably, become some part of a political statement and risk other loses in support. It's a complete mess.

Keep an eye on what Dave Ruben and Jordan Peterson are doing in regards to alternate funding sights. They seem to trying too work something out to address this situation and keep our 1st ammendment rights available.
