IMA: caveat emptor
Added 2018-12-06 01:54:17 +0000 UTCSome have voiced concern at a lack of details and I apologize. I should not have spoken up until things were settled. I was annoyed and short sighted.
If you'd like something from IMA, just read every line of the massive descriptions and pay attention to their return policy. The price will not reflect the quality. Don't be surprised if what you sent back ends up damaged without any question of it being your doing.

I just got an M1905 bayonet for my Springfield and Garand rifles. It is the cast Indian reproduction, and the price was acceptable to me, knowing that. The blade is about 3 degrees to the left of the bore axis even though it is straight from the guard out to the tip. The socket for the bayonet lug was oversize in two dimensions, making the socket itself undersize, so neither rifle's lug would fit. It took two days with small files to relieve those areas, and about two hours to relieve the muzzle ring, and now it fits as it should. I have no plans to conduct bayonet drill with it against solid targets, so I'm happy with it. I got practice with my files, too.

2018-12-09 04:05:31 +0000 UTCThey're good for the Nepal cache firearms & 1 or 2 repro items if you buy them during some sort of promo [also holds true for Atlanta Cutlery, the other half of the duo behind rescuing the Nepal cache.] But otherwise, their prices are pretty far out there...

2018-12-06 20:59:32 +0000 UTCOthias.... Tell them to do what they would have told you to do. 'You need to claim any damage with the mail carrier.'

2018-12-06 17:06:09 +0000 UTCBut US RGC has integrity and ego issues... but at least (I think) it worked out correct in the end. Will know when I get my order, finally, if I get it. Hard to tell, as the guy stopped replying to me and gave one last vague email.

2018-12-06 17:03:39 +0000 UTCDang, was actually looking to get a Martini or a Snider from them. After hearing about their crappy return policies hidden in fine print and not accepting returns due to someone finding rot or worm holes in "new" stock, I'll just stick to lurking on GB and gun shows for either or.
2018-12-06 17:00:19 +0000 UTCIMA won't even ship replica firearms to MN or WI, though it's perfectly legal, and someone along the line messed up when they read the statutes. IMA wouldn't even return my emails.

2018-12-06 16:51:47 +0000 UTCOnce a year they do a warehouse raid where you can pick it out in person. That is the recommended way to go. Its through the Victorian Riflemen. I haven't gone yet or purchased from IMA but i have seen pictures and talked to a lot of the guys about it

2018-12-06 15:04:50 +0000 UTCDang, I wanted to get one of the untouched Nepalese Snider-Enfields as a project gun for next winter. Guess I'll save that money instead. They raised the price of them recently anyway.
2018-12-06 13:28:58 +0000 UTCI also have had to return items to IMA for replacement due to poor quality. I will admit at least they replaced the item but I had the cost of returning. Not my favorite.
2018-12-06 11:59:21 +0000 UTCI am honestly happy to hear you've had a good time with your purchases. I have also successfully ordered from them in the past.

2018-12-06 09:05:23 +0000 UTCThey ripped me off too. Bald faced. No integrity whatsoever.

2018-12-06 07:41:05 +0000 UTCWhat happened!? I hate it when companies treat customers poorly.

2018-12-06 06:29:59 +0000 UTCI've had a tough time with their customer service folks over the years. I posted a negative review at one point and was put on their "don't do business with list". I haven't wanted their business since.

2018-12-06 05:27:53 +0000 UTCI have been rather unimpressed with their somewhat fast & loose efforts that seem to present Ghendra rifles as Martinis...

2018-12-06 05:27:48 +0000 UTC"More details later as it isn't quite finished ..." With all due respect, the reason for no explanation at this current point in time is there in the first sentence. YMMV

2018-12-06 04:33:47 +0000 UTCInternational Military Antiques has a pretty terrible reputation already in the World War II collectors circles I run in for selling overpriced junk. From my, albeit few, dealings with them that does not seen far off.

2018-12-06 03:23:57 +0000 UTCWhy not tell us what it is instead of leaving a clickbait title like this? Pretty shitty to tell us not to do something and give no explanation why or what happened.

2018-12-06 02:57:48 +0000 UTCEmail notification for this post literally right next to an email from IMA with their new product deals.. ironic? I think so.. ive been tempted to buy from them but something always told me not to. Interested to hear your experience.
2018-12-06 02:38:13 +0000 UTCI made my first and last purchase from them over the summer. C96 leather holster bracing that might have fit an 80% scale C96 stock.

2018-12-06 02:34:43 +0000 UTCThat's disappointing. Definitely interested in hearing what happened. I've had nothing but great service from them in the years I've been buying their Nepal cache fixer uppers.
2018-12-06 02:29:57 +0000 UTCYes. finish the deal, get your hands on it...but don't forget to tell all of us how you were treated.
2018-12-06 02:12:37 +0000 UTCThe thing I have against them is they take what could be viable parts kits and create deact guns to sell to people that can't own real guns. Seems dumb to me. NFA owners are always looking to buy parts. And plenty of people want semi builds i.e. MG-42.

2018-12-06 02:12:00 +0000 UTCAll in good time. I'm frustrated at the moment but I'm sure, with the present course, they will seal the deal.

2018-12-06 02:04:33 +0000 UTCI'm interested in finding out what it is that they did. I have then bookmarked but I have had little contact with them.

2018-12-06 02:02:04 +0000 UTCgood service is worth 1 or 2 referrals, bad service is worth 10 or more lost customers.
