Full Speed Ahead
Added 2017-12-16 15:01:35 +0000 UTCThank you all for riding that Patreon blip out with us. I had a lot of messages on the matter but witheld answering until I had a solution.
In looking for alternatives I found we have options but all were as bad or worse than the new method. I am glad we did not have to migrate.
In addition we have now breached $6,000 a month, an amount I had not even dreamed necessary but now find to be critical. Thank you all for this support! I won't lie, I needed this pat on the back. This has been the busiest month of my life.
From October 20th until the Pedersen episode dropped I logged a minimum 100 hours a week, plus a 36 hour, no sleep, emergency animation fix as a finale. This was from doing full research on every firearm we were to borrow on our MG trip, other prep, the trip itself, and a surprise loan of a Pederden Device on a very short timescale. So more research and scripting plus repairing it and developing and testing ammo. Add in that we are reactivating an MP18, chasing a project to reproduce a prototype trench gun, repairing a RSC1917, and plotting our next trips to find the rare and wonderful.
All of that and YouTube fights us on copyright and monetization every episode. While the Pedersen is doing well it has not been a million view break out. Our poster campaign succeeded but was smaller than last year when we had fewer fans; this one feels like a failure on my part in terms of design and creativity in marketing it to a wider base. Then Patreon announced the fee change...
I have honestly been run down a bit. So thank you, our core supporters, for this win. Primer is a show with no hiatus and no excuses. It might appear at 11:59 but it goes live every other Tuesday. You guys put in too much support to deserve any less.
One day C&Rsenal will be a 40-hour a week job for me, probably after we leave the fixed, diminishing list of WWI. For now, however, costs are going to be high, as will the hours logged. Custom ammo, custom dies, buying what we cannot borrow, travel, parts manufacture, equipment replacement and upgrades, meals for the mostly volunteer team, and more stack up fast.
It is only possible thanks to you. We cannot work without the budget and we have none without your choice to give so others might receive. You are our heroes.

2017-12-17 16:00:12 +0000 UTCGlad to be a supporter. The amount of detailed information and research for the amount I contribute is phenomenal. This is the best value on the internet. Keep up the great work.
2017-12-17 12:40:30 +0000 UTCI am glad to be part of the 6k a month. It's sad that it's only 6k a month, but maybe there are only so many people in the world that are this interested in relic firearms and will to put up a money to fund it.

2017-12-17 05:32:52 +0000 UTC6000 a month? I'm 1/300th of your budget and 1/86,000th of your viewership? Mind=blown. I wish people would support the content they care about.
2017-12-17 01:23:31 +0000 UTCpatreon meet up possibly?
2017-12-16 23:15:32 +0000 UTCI totally agree. I want my fix, but I would still support you if you had a schedule of between 2 to 4 weeks per video.
2017-12-16 20:48:37 +0000 UTCYouTube is crushing us in search and related video links. I've caught them red handed and grabbed screen shots. I took it to my Google rep and... crickets. Is YouTube censoring us? You bet they are. The Daily Caller just busted them on it too: http://dailycaller.com/2017/12/15/google-is-using-its-immense-power-to-censor-content-that-doesnt-fit-its-political-goals/

2017-12-16 18:54:35 +0000 UTCDon't burn yourself out! I'd rather you folks take a break / work at a more relaxed pace than hit your schedules exactly.

2017-12-16 18:14:02 +0000 UTCIf this is the future of uncensored video entertainment, and I think it is, I'm glad people like those at C&Rsenal are at the pointy end of the spear. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to excellence, it shows in the end product. I enjoy the information and historical relevance that firearms are given. A hearty, WELL DONE, to all who are involved.

2017-12-16 17:49:54 +0000 UTCI'm happy to contribute. Honestly I think the greatest risk to the show is you working yourself to death or injury. Please take care of yourself!

2017-12-16 17:19:22 +0000 UTCFor what it's worth I don't think here's anything wrong with your current poster, it's just that some of us who've already bought a few are out of wall space.

2017-12-16 16:45:03 +0000 UTCYoul have to pardon me. I’m in the hospital and I don’t know if I’ll make it this time. But when I say “my old club “ 1490 Worms is one of the oldest gun clubs in the world. The “1490” refers to a conflict the City State of Worms won and for which they presented to the club a Matchlock that is stunning. Upon acceptance into the club each new member is allowed to fire it. It was an unforgettable experience. If you get the chance take it. It’s only fired with a reduced charge, but even so it’s got a kick and all the smoke you could ever want. Good Luck PS I’m in the hospital and the doctor is making those hail fellow well met noises. This means I’ve come into a fortune or I’m circling the drain. I hope I can let you out come.
2017-12-16 16:28:48 +0000 UTCSadly every episode needs a firing segment and I have not found a single "will fire" collection in Europe despite many friends who have been willing to share for photography and research.

2017-12-16 16:23:46 +0000 UTCHallo ist da jemand? Hier ist Europa!!! Come on folks how often do I have to repeat myself? Europe has all the weapons you could imagine. Some in brand new never issued condition. Do they have restrictive weapon law YES . Are they crazy, anti-gun nuts NO. Will it take time to find a door into an organization that will allow some form of unfettered access to all those goodies ? That depends on how much “Glory” your willing to share. If you’re willing to partner with an European organization it could go very quick. My old club 1490 Worms had access to a lot of money. Their problem was no time. They could ease the way inton ccc.
