The Lewis Gun!

I have never had more difficulty with a video. Had to set public from my phone to get around a 500 error.

I will update the annotations later... I hope.

The Lewis Gun!

Shoulder is a bit much...

C&Rsenal

Is it reasonable to be able to shoulder a Lewis and do walking burst fire or is this the wrong kind of light machine gun to expect even the biggest Canadian gunner to try?

Good to hear! Thank you for the support

This was a fantastic video. I'll admit the length worried me a bit but I'm glad I invested the time. The whole video was interesting and kept my attention. I've watched a few other primer videos now and they're all great. Thank you.

The outer lips keep the rounds from moving "twisting" and the inner cylinder won't let them fall.

Thank you! We are looking to expand in other areas of the show so it helps

I do like the 2D animations that you do for the rifles and things. That said, a big thank you to the producer of the 3D animations! :D It was also a treat to see you out on the range, and I can say that watching you pour fire downrange while advancing was great. I bet the Germans thought twice about trying to attack some crazy man advancing at them firing a machine gun from the hip! I still wonder how the ammunition stays in the pancake though, does it really hold the whole round in there via the projectile? I honestly don't mind these longer episodes, although that said, I wouldnt want to see this length every time!

I increased my Patreon pledge after viewing this video because it was a masterful peice of informative video making and it clearly took a massive amount of effort to produce.

Thanks!

We're digging for one.

C&Rsenal

Thanks for making this one possible!

C&Rsenal

We're lucky there are so many personalities in these things.

C&Rsenal

As soon as we can borrow one!

C&Rsenal

We're glad it's coming through!

C&Rsenal

Excellent episode. I know it makes for a longer episode, and undoubtedly more work, but I love all the extra detail. Also, the new animations were really good. Thanks again for the good work.

James Bond

Great work!

Risto Alanko

Thanks!

With the excellent job you did with the Lewis, I would love to see your take on the Chauchat. Ian over at Forgotten Weapons made me rethink a lot of the common wisdom on that much lamented gun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCwP3Dm52Ls

Outstanding review of one of the more interesting firearms of WW I. Great work to your entire crew.

Robert Borger

A tour de force on the gun's development history and the insanity of the U.S. ordinance procurement system. And Othais' walking fire is capital A awesome! Thanks for the great work.

Todd E. Hale

My apologies for expressing myself badly.I meant "in addition to" and not a sole point of release.

Go underground? I'm not aggin it but man would that make the flow towards patreon and other things hard. Plus our core audience would be lost.

C&Rsenal

If I might be so bold to suggest that you have your videos released in conjunction with MVGroup.Your videos surely fall within their criteria of educational documentaries and they could be construed as having a more liberal interpretation of international copyright laws. It's a shame to have one's work at the mercy of the random program parameter.
