Back to the present:

See every time I manage to get more efficient at any one process I squeeze in more stuff.  So now I'm playing a juggling game!

With the T-gewehr done, I'm sitting on footage from the Lewis and MG 08/15.  Photos for the Lewis animation were done in KY, but there wasn't enough time for the  08/15, luckily there is one in Columbia we can borrow for animation photos in the near future.

But, can't drop all the best content at once.  So I went digging through our footage stock, since we introduced the high speed, lots of that needs to be added to.

We do, however, have enough for the Luger.  But that's a LOT of reading, research, and filming + complicated animation and lots more images for sub models etc.  But it's what we have... so I guess it's next.

Which means it will take me now until next episode to get it done, no doubling like I can with the little .32's.

Speaking of which, we're still sitting on a Jager Pistole because the reading material from Germany got stuck and shipped back.  Instead I've found an expert online and had to register and pay a forum just to send a PM.  We'll see if he's willing to help make a great episode there.  Also the Frommer is nearly complete but we need to load up a bit more of the hot stuff to film high speed.

In the meantime, still hunting a Metford to start the Enfield series.  We found an Ottoman Peabody in 7.65 Mauser!  Just got to get the British originals together and film it all for an episode.  Also have to pick the best references there as I have few for that era.

I'd like to start the Steyr-Mannlichers but since we have the 88-90 it seems fair to cover the wedge lockers first, though I have doubts from not having the pure 1886 on hand.  Reading material is sparse as I don't trust Scarlata as a source.  Jay is working on a proper case length for this gun as well as it's currently throwing gas.

Our 7.63 Mannlicher ammo failed miserably, so we're ordering dies to reload.  Can't do that until next month because we're blowing the budget out this month (again) with another big trip.  This time to Springfield Armory where we've been invited to see the 1911 and 1903 trials guns + more.  Can't shoot or film there, but will work up a bank of stellar images for reference.

Jay ordered 6.5mm Arisaka dies.  All Carcano are ready!  But our normal filming day is Friday and we're out of town every single Friday this month.  Sunday is a backup day but less than ideal and often can't be worked out with the range.  + weather is atrocious lately.  So no new filming despite our readiness.

One way or another we're going to have to force at least one live shoot in the next two weeks or we won't have material for next month on hand.

The new experimental travel lightbox, capable of over 80" of gun (thanks T-gewehr) worked but suffered in the field due to its own bulk.  Going to have to reinforce that this week in the few spare moments.

We just started talking with a new supplier. Email me about this and I'll make certain you get one as soon as it's a "go"

Slightly off topic, but was any progress made with finding a source for t-shirts? I have a trip to France this summer, and would love to bring those "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité" t-shirts as gifts for my French friends. :)

We have a 38 long and 44. Kinda hoping for a 38 carbine before we get rolling on them.

If you need assistance with Type 38 Arisaka's I have three different variants I can help with.
