Funny I've only really heard it pronounced Key-Gul. It's definitely about where you're from and accents I think. I grew up in Michigan [in the US] and things are generally pronounced more nasaly.. But OBGYN in in Las Vegas that was Jamaican and grew up in the UK, but moved to the States fairly early on has a bazaar accent and he also says it KEY-gul.
