It's one of those simple tasks that seem to trouble a lot of painters out there and it really doesn't have to be that scary.

This really is a useful skill for any painter to have in their back pocket, and we can't wait to see your results throughout the week!

Remember, if you have any questions use the comments section below or you can reach us on our Discord which you all have access to.

And as always, lastly & most importantly... happy painting & make share your results with us!

Very welcome

πŸ‘πŸΌ. Having done the EMC, I should have known! Thanks. Super quick reply too!

Hi Darren, It's a really straight forward one for you to achieve. The easiest way for you to go about nit would be to thin down Agrax Earthshade about 70% with water and then add it to the area you want to weather. Really thin layers, quick blast of the hair dryer in between. Just keep adding layers until you are happy with the strength of the effect.

Really helpful tutorial. Just a quick question - how do you get the dust / sand effect in the lower legs on the last page? Dry brush of...? Very diluted airbrush of ...? Thanks.

You are welcome mate, anytime.

Ah! My bad, thanks for the help Simon!

Hi Ben, If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you should see the pdf as an attached file. Once you've downloaded it you can then enter the password to activate it. Hope that helps, please let us know if not. Simon - Siege Team

Sorry guys. Maybe I’m missing something but where do I get access to the PDF? I can see the password but I don’t know where I’m supposed to use it

Loving the battle damaged look at the end of the PDF.

Here if you need anything dude.

thanks Simon, i'll give it a try.

Absolutely, I would recommend using a very light dry brush anf building it up in very steady multiple layers. Then just edge highlight as normal. Done from a top down perspective it would still look super effective. You have to keep the drybrush light though and take your time to build the effect gradually. You can absolutely follow the same colour steps too. Let us know if you have any other questionn and thanks for being a Patron. Simon- Siege Team.

Is it possible achieve these types of results without an air brush?
