Short Blog - Tower of Heaven Book 3 Power Levels
Added 2020-09-12 18:17:31 +0000 UTCI received some constructive criticism on royalroad the other day. It really made me think. Besides the lack of stats/skills/notification in book 3, which was something I planned on rectifying during the editing phase, I came to understand something else.
That is, making power levels relatable again. Book 1 and 2 handled this fairly well compared to book 3. The recent expansion on the gods and their brief scuffle come to mind. How powerful are they, in relation to Jason and the others?
In the current arc, how powerful is Lavos, really? Levels don't really mean much here. I need to bring the power levels back to understandable levels.
As such, in the current chapter I'm writing, I'm introducing a simple but easy to understand grading system which will be used for the rest of the book.
After the last chapter is written, I'll go back and clarify the strength of the gods/Nobles (AI). Hopefully this increases the tension readers feel during fights.
