The Mecha inspired Artificier is on its way, but it is has been one of my most difficult projects thus far. Getting a mecha pilot to fit within 5e is a bit of a challenge, but it sould be out before the end of the month! I hope you are all willing to bare with me here on this. It will likely go through several iterations before it is ready before it can be added to the full document and I will likely need your help to get to that point.
As far as design goes, most of the power allotment for this subclass is in its flight capability. It has a very similar feature to the Draconic sorcerers Draconic Wings and that is on purpose.
I am not quiet about my belief that flight is a highly overrated mechanic in DND, so the flight in this subclass comes at 6th level vs. the Draconic Sorcerer's 14. I balanced around this by making it take up a decent chunk of the subclasses power because flight is so intrinsic to Rodan as a character and waiting until 14 to be able to do it just felt wrong to me.
Still slightly worried about the subclasses power level being to low for a game that properly accounts for flight and that I didn't draw on Sorcery points whatsoever in the design. The passive fire damage, while it isn't much, can add up and the sonic boom is over a long line though, so who knows without playtesting it hahaha!
