# Yatuda Tabaxi

### Devil Cats

Yatuda tabaxi, otherwise known as the half-rakshasa's or devil cats, are the result of an infernal line of tabaxi who revere their larger and more fiendish feline counterparts. Long ago, when their people were facing famine and drought, they made a deal with inferal powers and bred with devils. Now, centuries later, the man eating yatuda are one of the more dangerous encounters one could have adventuring the lands of Worldspire.

### Walk The Killer's Path

Each yatuda has to undergo a ritualistic hunt as they come of age. They stalk a path in their lands, waiting patiently in the shadows for their prey to show itself to them. When it does, they are judged by their elders for how they handle it. 

Traditionally, there are two ways to handle a hunt. The first option is a brutal and efficient ambush where the prey is instantly killed, skinned, and eaten. The second option is riskier, but often far more rewarding. As the yatuda share their lands with their common brethren, it can be quite easy for them to pass as a normal tabaxi and deceive their prey. The foolish will lead them back to their travelling companions, dooming them as well. 

Few yatuda choose this riskier path, but those who do are destined for great and terible things. 

### Yatuda Tabaxi Traits

The yatuda are the children of the tabaxi and the rakshasa. 

***Ability Score Increase.*** Your Charisma score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score increases by 1. 

***Age.*** Yatuda live for slightly long than a standard tabaxi, but are still roughly equivalent to humans. 

***Alignment.*** The yatuda have the blood of powerful devils flowing through their veins. This infernal blood often leads them down a brutal and dark path, but not always.

***Size.*** Yatuda are larger and more heavily built than their more lithe pureblood brethren, but are roughly equivalent to humans or elves in height. Your size is medium. 

***Speed.*** Your base walking speed is 30 feet. 

***Language.*** You can speak, read, and write Common and Infernal. 

***Cat's Claws.*** Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 feet. Your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

***Darkvision.*** You have a cat’s keen senses, especially in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness only shades of gray. 

***Force of Personality.*** You have advantage on all Charisma saving throws against magic. 

***Rakshasa Spellcasting.*** You know the *mage hand* and *minor illusion* cantrips. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for them.

***Yatuda Talents.*** You are proficient in either the Deception, Insight, or Stealth skill.
