Linus said $500 but the current console prices are $450 for Switch 2, $650 for Series X, and $550 for PS5. 2. While Steam does have a 30% cut like PS and Xbox, they don’t have a basically required subscription service of $80/yr. 3. The Steam machine is a pc so in theory people can circumvent the Steam store and buy elsewhere, so less subsidizing.
