I just wanted to add to the grandchildren topic since I too am choosing not to have kids with my partner. I just want to say that your parents are allowed to be disappointed that they won't be getting grandchildren, but trying to guilt you and your partner into doing something you don't want is unacceptable. Give them the grace to be disappointed, but be firm if/when they try to force something on you through guilt
