Ever since I had a little one (almost 20 months now) anytime a movie or tv show has a kid die I usually turn it off, just hits too close to home while he is still so little. That and dogs dying on screen, stop killing pets in movies!

Thanks for your reply, and if I can suggest something for you to look at, there's an app called "The Wonder Weeks" that goes through and covers all of the developmental stages/"leaps"/skills for your kid at each given age timeframe. Even has little checklists that you can tick off as they grow
