i just know the khan family group chat was going WILD after this; i'm picturing kamala's face reading everything while she's in california like "are you kidding me?!" (also matt like "you're going to see your daughter again" is so sweet, but it's so funny that kamala's brother didn't get mentioned at all π #favoritechildalert)
but fr i loved seeing how PROUD her dad was of her?! i'm so glad they brought him in; whoever had this idea highkey needs to get promoted lol
also i was blaming fisk for the entire thing, but while i was editing, i realized it's probably actually vanessa's fault π an actual menace π anyways, going to try to get episode 6 up asap!! i hope you guys had fun watching this episode :)

@2:44: Yusuf has Dad Vibes to spare to be honest. @3:56: There is a lot of competition for MCU's Best Dad (that does not even rival MCU's Worst Dad sadly) but Yusuf is coming in hot for that gold metal. @9:27: M'harbinger, had I not already seen this episode, my stomach would have been on the floor in dread from this prediction. @20:33: Never underestimate the power of a good bottle episode. I know sometimes Matt's happy demeanor is a façade but it's nice to see those moments when his soul is not all Catholic guilt and masochistic duty. Kamala could remind him that superheroing can be fun, something that is true for him that he seems to intermittently forget.

2025-05-08 03:07:55 +0000 UTCThis was such a fun bottle episode! It's also the only episode in the season to be untouched by the creative overhaul reshoots. The inclusion of Yusuf Khan and the Kamala mentions came from Sana Amanat, an executive producer from this show who was also an exec producer on "Ms. Marvel"; she's also producing S2 so I imagine we'll get some more nuggets as we go on! also i'm a little sad that Matt mentioning his mom was cut from the reaction :( I really hope they bring her back for S2; maybe Matt returns to church by the end of the season and goes to see his mom for guidance as they agreed to in the S3 finale.
