This week we're delving into 10 more of the rarest species on earth. The list includes one fungus, one plant, one insect, one snail, two birds, and four mammals, including the Gobi Bear and the Red Wolf, two highly requested species.

They are one of the coolest species I've had the honor of seeing in real life. Hopefully the success of the breeding program is able to catch some attention to spread awareness!

Maybe a future threatened species video could include some of those plants that are extinct or severely threatened in the wild but easily cultivated, such as the Hawaiian Brighamia (extinct in the wild) and the beautiful South African Lachenalia viridiflora which thrives in cultivation - I can't find recent information about wild populations but it was restricted to a very few tiny areas under threat from development.
