Minor Setback

Hey, everybody. So, I just had a setback. I don’t usually share personal details but I kind of have to in this case. I had a little mishap yesterday and one of my fingers is broken. Without getting into the gory details, one of my fingers is in a splint and I can’t use it. I’m in a bit of pain but I’m okay, so no need to worry about me if you are.

Outside of the pain, it’s really affecting my ability to type. This message is taking a lot longer to type than it usually would.

I’m letting you all know this because I’m not sure how it will affect my coding/writing speed. I’m going to do my best to work around the pain as well as the awkwardness of using different fingers to type. It’s just one finger but surprisingly, it makes a big difference for me. I'm trying to get used to it quickly.

With that said, if I don’t feel like I’ve put in the same amount of work I could have with all my fingers, I’ll pause payments for October. You’re all welcome to provide input on what you think is fair and I'll listen. Hold me to it.

Can you believe I broke my finger right after a progress update where I said I was going to start writing and coding? I’ve been mostly fortunate over the course of development not to have any major mishaps. Unplanned things like this happening is why I never set release dates.

Anyway, I’m putting this out there ahead of time just so you don’t get a sudden explanation a week or two from now that I haven’t been able to work much.
