June Update and a big thank you.

Hello to familiar and new faces alike! This update is going to be a bit of an emotional one starting off as you have no idea how much gratitude I feel for all of your support lately.

The past 2 years have been a ride! 

In 2019, I lost 2 friends, and my father, and at the start of 2020 my ankle injury began to take a turn for the worse. With the start of the pandemic, being put off of work due to my injuries for 10 months, I began thinking that I was getting deeper into a cave I couldn't find my way around in.

But in the middle of 2020, all of you who joined just then and where still with me from years previous really pulled me through. I got the most support I needed in 2020 and I really couldn't have pulled through if it weren't for what you guys have done for me.

2020 my ankle injury was confirmed permanently damaged, and after having to quit my job in 2021 after being on a 10 month leave, and losing another friend to covid, it took me a while to find my bearings. I couldn't find work now that I couldn't do what I normally did, and even doing a smaller job that I thought would help my condition, did not. I was also healing emotionally from everything kind of falling down around me.

So I began losing hope up until I decided that my only other option was to try and attempt full time art work after I started picking myself up again.

And I have to say, you guys have really made me hopeful for the coming days in tow.

With the support I have on Patreon now, I can actually work part to full time work on Guardia and commissions while I figure out a system that works. But I wouldn't be in the spot I am without those who made the choice to support my work, and for that, you have my most heartfelt thanks and an indescribable amount of gratitude.

So what's the deal now?

Because of all the new support on Patreon, I can finally give back to all of you, old and new for the years of support you've given me!

I can now do things that I was unable to do in previous years and spend more time growing my community here on Patreon and give back to you in all the ways I've always wanted to!

First and foremost, the return of WALLPAPERS. It's been so long since I've been able to do monthly wallpapers, so I'm really happy to get back to work on these!

All in all, a total revamp of Patreon is in order now that there is more of you, and there is definitely a lot of things I need to work out to make it work efficiently to be more beneficial and fun to you all! With this opportunity, I would really like to take advantage of the new paths I can walk down!

So secondly, I'm going to be putting a temporary max cap on Patreon Rewards Cards as a way of keeping myself from getting overwhelmed until I get used to working in this form.

For those of you new to my Patreon, I run it based on a points system that you accrue monthly, or through purchasing commissions, adoptable characters,  or donating! You can use points on monthly rewards, or reducing the price of commissions of a higher value and at certain tiers, getting a cameo of your character in the comic!!

So the current max of cards I am going to currently allow are 25. In addition to these, I will also, after making a study for a few months now, cut the $5 Rewards cards to balance out the max number of points cards due to them being unused for a few years. (I will message those who will be effected by this change so you can use your points before they officially expire.)

If you are on the $5 tier, you will still keep your benefits! In addition to the loss of the rewards cards however, I will be giving early access pages to this tier! So now $5 and $10 patrons can share in the joy of early access page updates when Act 5 of Guardia is ready to release in Mid-September!

I've already taken a few steps in editing some of the tiers and their descriptions, so be on the look out for new changes to your tiers!

Thirdly! CHARMS!! I can finally get some Guardia merch ready to flow in celebration of this new opportunity, and patrons will definitely have first dibs once I'm ready to get to work on them! I've been wanting to make them for a while now, so be on the look out for more news about these later!

Finally, if you haven't already, join the Guardia discord and chat it up with other fans, I urge newcomers to read the comic as well!
