Hello everyone!
One month has passed for 2018 and I want to take a moment to let you all know how everything is going! After lots of time and effort, the shift from posters to drawing is starting to show a large difference in my own life. I’ll take a moment to share with you what’s been going on and plans coming up!
School and Education
This spring 2018 semester is my last semester going to college, and I want to make it count. I’m taking two online classes, and two on campus classes. I set up my schedule to where I can maximize my time to draw with the time to also learn and go to school. I’ve never had this opportunity and I don’t intend to waste any time in between. I hope you guys are okay with this as I want to create pieces that make you guys happy, while at the same time, I want to make sure I finish school and leave with this whole business becoming something that can sustain me for a while before I get an industry job. Remember education and learning takes priority, right before Family. I put Patreon on the back seat last year as I focused on art and it suffered dramatically. Though it has recovered, I hope I can trust each and every one of you with my income as it truly motivates me to keep on creating wonderful and interesting content you want.
Quality and Quantity
This month has seen me create 5 finished pieces of art, which makes me really happy! I don’t want to push the envelope more than 8 as I believe my quality will start to suffer from rushing rather than taking the time to perfect less with the same amount of time. I’m very glad I managed to create this many drawings in one month and I hope I can produce just as much or even more, just not to where I only focus on drawing all day every day. I hope you guys also enjoy the jump in quality as much as I do.
Transparency and Money
I want to be honest with you guys, money was never the end goal for Patreon for me. It has always been and extra thing that came my way as I created content. Now a days I treat it as my small time business that I need to maintain as it really helps the family with financial emergencies. Please note, I will NEVER force anyone to pledge or force them to stay pledged. If you have financial obligations that need taking care up, please take care of them first. Although I need money to feed myself, you may need that money to take care of a loved one or use it to repair a vehicle. Please save that money until you are, without a doubt, positive that pledging to me won’t hurt you. I would rather you take care of everything in your life before trying to support me.
Final Thoughts
I want to take each and every one of you for sticking by me throughout this transition period. I also want to thank all the new individuals who are investing in my craft and dream. Thanks to you, I can pursue my dream to become a great artist and provide for my family as well. This month we saw a huge pledge growth, sending my current income to about $175, and that is something that I will always be thankful for. I will do my best to please each and every one of you with my content.
